Top 10 Best E-Liquid Brands in the UK and US in 2021
E-liquid, e-juice, vape juice or e-cig liquid, whatever you prefer to call it, we take a look at some of the best-tasting e liquids from some of the most trusted UK and USA juice brands in 2021.
Some e-liquid flavours will never fall out of favour. If you’re an ex-smoker who enjoys the taste of tobacco, you can shop a wide range of tobacco flavours that offer the same taste minus all the nasties in cigarettes.
Another wanted vape flavour is menthol, that replicates the minty taste even down to the ice-cool blast at the back of your throat and with menthol cigarettes now banned in the UK, now may be the perfect time to give up smoking and switch to vaping.
So UK vapers might find themselves wondering, ”what’s the best e-juice in the UK”?
Below we cover some of the best tobacco e liquids as well as ejuice for both mouth to lung (MTL) and sub ohm vapers. As always taste is subjective but if you are looking for a place to start then here you.
1. Dinner Lady E Liquid (Best UK E-Liquid)
Dinner Lady is one of the most popular UK e-liquid brands and they managed to take this award-winning brand worldwide. Many vapers know the brand because of their Lemon Tart flavour (we can’t get enough of it) but they have expanded the range of flavours in recent years to cover all bases from fruit to tobacco’s.
They produce all flavours in a choice of 50PG/50VG, nic salt, 50ml shortfill (70VG), concentrates for the DIY enthusiasts and now CBD vape juice. So no matter what type of vape device you use or what level of experience you have Dinner Lady have you covered.
All Dinner Lady e-liquids are made in small batches from only the highest quality ingredients and pharmaceutical grade nicotine.
We have reviewed most of the flavours on offer and across the board, they offer top quality products. Even their tobacco and menthol flavours come up on top on our reviews.
Worldwide shipping available.
2. Voro Vape Premium E-Liquids – (Editors Choice)
Voro Vape has a huge range of e liquids from their own brand flavours to guest e liquids from the biggest brands. What we like about Voro Vape e-liquid is that they offer an e liquid to suit different vaping styles.
If you use a vape pen style e cigarette and vape mouth to lung then go for the 50PG/50VG e-liquids. For sub ohm, direct to lung vapers the High VG range comes with a 30PG/70VG ratio, this is the one for you.
The flavours in this range are excellent, our personal picks are the Dark Secret, First Date and Blue Diamond but there is plenty to pick from for all flavour profiles. They are also made to the highest safety standards available.
The 50/50 range gives you tried and tested flavours such as Menthol Blast, Breakfast in Bed, Autumn Harvest just to name a few.
All of these e-juices are a great starting point for new vapers and are great for your standard e-cig vape tanks and pods.
They have also recently just stocked a huge range of nic salt e-liquids that are perfect for new vape devices.
3. Hangsen E-Liquid (Best For Familiar Tobacco Flavours)
Even if the e-liquid is developed in China, we have to give credit where its due. With centres in the UK, EU and North America, not to mention China, of course, it is at this point that Hangsen solidified their global brand and position as number one on the worldwide vaping stage.
Please don’t let yourself fooled that because is made in China it means low quality. No way! For every one that starting vaping in early 2009, Hangsen will remain one of the best ejuice on the market.
Hangsen e liquid entered the vaping market back in 2009. Since then its popularity has increased every ear, and it is now known as being a global leader in the e liquids business.
The Hangsen CEO Jide Yao created the first e-liquid recipe that had a VG (vegetable glycerin) and PG (propylene glycol) base in 2005. This formula not only formed the recipe for e liquids at Hangsen, but it is also recognised as the go-to recipe for e juice manufacturing around the globe.
Hangsen Tobacco E-Liquid
Hangsen e liquid is created differently to many other brands as natural tobacco is used to extract the essence needed for tobacco flavoured e liquids.
This allows vapers to enjoy a true, natural classic tobacco taste that is incredibly enjoyable, authentic and yet still avoids the nasties contained with the chemical-filled tobacco that goes into cigarettes for smoking.
Ex-smokers who crave for the taste of tobacco will find everything they need in this large range. From the unmistakable and mellow Virginia to the wonderful Golden Tobacco, there are satisfying vapes to suit all tastes.
Don’t miss out on USA Mix and if you like your tobacco sweet, RY4 and RY6 will hit the spot with their caramel and vanilla notes. We should also mention the Golden Tree. If you enjoy tobacco flavoured liquids, there’s plenty to choose from here.
4. Black Note – (Best Tobacco E-Liquid | Most Authentic)
Black Note is fast becoming the go-to brand for vapers that want their e-liquid flavour to be a realistic tobacco.
There is no surprise here. For us, this is the best tobacco e juice hands down.
Black Note use naturally extracted tobacco in a process that has 9 careful stages from picking the tobacco leaves to bottling the product.
Black Note is a specialist mixer, but if you’re looking for tobacco e-liquids in the UK, there is nowhere better to buy from. They take the top spot on our list because of their approach: rather than mixing tobacco flavours from combinations of artificial flavourings, their e-juices use real tobacco leaves for flavour.
This is a pure tobacco e liquid that uses no artificial flavouring. Not the cheapest e liquid but you really do get what you pay for. Even the bottle and packaging is the best out there.
The juices from Black Note come in one mainline and the new V line. There are 8 tobacco flavours in the range, all with different characteristics.
The original flavours include the Virginia tobacco blend Prelude, the Cavendish tobacco Sonata, the burley tobacco Forte, an Italian Kentucky variety Legato, the menthol Solo and the Latakia (a Syrian blend) tobacco Quartet.
Black Note are also tested and are free of Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl, Ethylene Glycol, Diethylene Glycol, Acrolein or Acetoin. All independent lab reports are available to view.
They come in 50PG/50VG ratio making them perfect for mouth to lung vape devices and Pod Kits.
5. Voro Vape – Menthol Blast (Best Menthol E Liquid)
We already have Voro Vape on our list for producing some of the best UK made vape juice. What they have also done is produce one of the best menthol e-liquids available.
What we also like is the options this is available in. Voro Vape offers a PG or VG base for direct to lung vape or High VG. The High VG offer is in short fill version, no nicotine. This basically means you get 50ml or 100ml of e-liquid by mixing flavouring and your preferred PG/VG base with zero nicotine.
It comes in 50PG/50VG and 70VG/30PG ratios.
If you are looking for a strong menthol e juice then this is one to try next.
Charlie’s Chalk Dust has made a name for itself over the years, putting out an excellent range of ejuice flavours, built on interesting combinations of well-replicated flavours. Its spot on this list comes thanks to its well-captured fruits and delicious dessert e-juices in particular.
The Pacha Mama line-up featuring a bunch of impressive fruit combinations including Strawberry, Guava, Jackfruit, and Mango, Pitaya, Pineapple.
PACHAMAMA vape juices are dedicated to the natural flavor that fruits have instead of an overly sweet, candy flavor. Giving you genuine flavors with every puff this brand is full of juices you won’t be able to stop vaping with how boozy they are.
PACHAMAMA comes in 0mg, 3mg, and 6mg giving you a variety of nicotine for whatever mood you may be in. With a 70/30 VG/PG base you’ll also get thick creamy clouds like no other!
The standard 60 ml bottles come in 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml of nicotine and the salts come in 30 ml bottles with either 25 or 50 mg/ml.
If you like your fruit-based juices with a twist then these really are worth trying in 2021.
It took us a while to get around to trying Wick Liquor vape juice but the wait was worth it. They have developed some superb e-liquids with a couple of top-notch fruity flavours. This has been one of the best vape juice brands for us this year.
Wick Liquor is a UK-based mixer with a “boutique” approach to e-juice, focusing on knocking a few, delicately-layered and complex flavours out of the park rather than offering something for everybody.
Their range includes Boulevard (fruit punch, with passion fruit, orange juice and loganberries), Boulevard Shattered (with added menthol), Carnival (glazed dough rings and sugar skull cake), Contra (vine citrus and fruit compote) and Déjà Voodoo (coconut husk and sugar cane).
The best Wick Liquor vape juice according to sales at Voro Vape Shop, is Boulevard. Boulevard outsells every other flavour in the range by a long shot. Whether it’s Boulevard salts, or their cloud-friendly big bottle Short fill, Boulevard is a winner. If you haven’t tried it yet, click below to shop online.
Vampire Vape is one of the most popular UK e-liquid brands and for good reason. Many vapers know the brand due to their Heisenberg flavour (most of us we know this flavour as the Godfather of all eliquids) but they have expanded the range in recent years to cover all bases from fruit to tobacco’s.
We are confident you heard about ”Pinkman”, another great flavour from this top UK manufacturer.
Pinkman is bursting with natural wild fruits, making it one of Vampire Vape’s best-selling e-liquids.
Not only that but they produce all flavours in a choice of 60PG/40VG, nic salt, shortfill (70VG/30PG) in Koncept Range and concentrates for the DIY enthusiasts.
So no matter what type of vape device you use or what level of experience you have Vampire Vape has you covered.
We have recently reviewed most of the flavours on offer and across the board they offer quality.
Please note PG/VG ratio differs for nicotine strengths on the 10ml TPD bottles:
This is a brand that has found success over the other side of the ocean before repeating that huge success in the UK.
Originating in the USA, Element’s created some great, simple flavours for those vapers that want minimal fuss.
Element E-Liquids has really made a name for itself thanks to its well-captured and consistently-delicious range of e-juice flavours. Their position on this best UK e-liquid list is all down to the quality of the flavours they put out.
They have specific ranges for nic salts e-liquids, tobacco flavours, a Dripper Series (high VG e-juice with delicious fruity dessert flavours), the FAR range (which features fruity and sweet flavours, with many of slushie-inspired options), Emulsions (mixtures of two popular Element flavours) and the Tonix line-up (which features options like Peppermint, PB and Blueberry Jam and Cherry Almond).
Their Dripper Range, 80VG/20PG is great for the sub ohm vapers among us.

How To Choose The Best E Liquid
As you well know, there are plenty of quality UK e liquid brands so it’s virtually impossible to tell you what the best e juice is from all those available. For the USA the choice is even more diverse.
We have however tried and reviewed our fair share so we have a good idea of the brands that are taking the required steps not only to mix some great flavour combinations but ensure they take the actual production side of things seriously.
With a huge influx of US juice brands hitting UK shores we wanted to highlight the fantastic work e liquid brands in the UK are doing, while of course including some of the best from around the world.
The above, ‘best e liquid UK’ list features brands that offer what we personally believe are best quality e cig juices for vapers not only in flavour but in the way they produce the e-liquids.
Are they made in a safe environment? Do they test their e-juices? If not do the companies that supply the flavourings carry out tests? We try and look at all this but what this list should do is give you a good starting point on how to choose top quality e-liquid.
How To Choose The Right Vape Juice
Back in 2010, when I start vaping, there wasn’t much choice. Unless you were in the modding/DIY camp, there was little to choose from other than cartridges that you could use with cigalikes pen-style electronic cigarettes and a few, mostly high PG, e-liquids.
Today, there is a plethora of ejuices on the market. You can select from high VG to high PG, between nicotine salts and free base, between 10ml and 50ml shortfills and more.
In many ways, that’s a good thing. The different options available mean that vaping can meet the needs of more people. But it can also confuse a vape beginner who is buying vape liquids for the first time!
How To Choose The Correct E-Liquid for Your E-Cigarette
Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as just choosing a juice and vaping. This is a mistake a lot of new vapers make and then blame their equipment for a poor vaping experience or that the vape kit is faulty.
You need to take into account the type of e-cigarette you use, this will determine the type of vape liquid you should choose. Once you read your manufacturer product manual and know your device, this is what you need to look out for:
The PG/VG ratio of e liquid.
The Nicotine strength
You can read more in-depth information about PG Vs VG here but here is a general quick guide on how to choose the correct vape liquids.
E-liquids for Starter Vape Kit or Pod Device
Vape devices with a coil resistance above 1.0 Ohm (eg: Endura T18/T20/T22 Series, Aspire K2, vape pen style e cigs and some pod mods) If you use these type of e cig then you will likely vape in a style that is known as Mouth to Lung (MTL).
The first is an e-liquid with more propylene glycol, typically with a VG/PG ratio of 50:50, which gives a similar throat hit to that of a regular cigarette.
This e-liquid ranges, best used with pod systems and lower-powered devices, are also best for a tight, restricted draw that more closely mimics a cigarette.
E-Liquids for Sub Ohm or Cloud Chasing
If you are looking for Sub-Ohm vaping style and you enjoy blowing huge clouds of vapour than you should choose shortfill eliquids.
After the TPD restriction, introduced in the UK, many eliquid producers come up with the ”Short Fill” type bottle, most used are the 50ml and 100ml bottles.
Short-fills are larger bottles of e-liquid, which come with enough space to add a nicotine shot.
How do I Choose a Vape Flavour?
The first thing to consider when buying e-liquid is the flavour. Even if all the other variables – nicotine strength, PG or VG and cloud production – are perfect, if you don’t like the flavor, you will end up throwing that bottle in the trash. Fortunately, e-liquids come in almost any flavour you could think of: fruity, menthol, desserts, and of course, tobacco blends.
New users often choose tobacco blends that closely match the flavour of their favourite cigarette brands. Many e-liquid manufacturers know this, so they create various tobacco blends that mimic the taste of popular brands.
For instance, Hangsen E-Liquid has developed at least 6 tobacco e liquid flavours just for this purpose. Some of them are Golden VGA ( Virginia tobacco), RY4 Tobacco – one of the most used flavours in the world, USA Mix and more.
When choosing e-liquid flavours, start with the ones that you’re pretty sure you’ll like. Once you have a good stock of those, you can start experimenting with other flavours.
What Strength of Nicotine Should I Choose
Once you’ve nailed your favourite flavour, the next step is to determine your preferred nicotine strength.
Nicotine levels come in various strengths:
Low: 6mg/ml and bellow – For light smokers who go through half a pack of cigarettes or less per day.
Medium: 9mg to 12mg – For average smokers who consume half a pack of cigarettes to one pack a day.
High: 18mg to 20mg – For heavy chain smokers.
Finding the right nicotine strength is important because too little will make you vape more to compensate, while too much may give you headaches or have an adverse reaction. We recommend to start with medium strength, then adjust accordingly.
E Liquid for a Strong Throat Hit
A strong throat hit is when you feel an instant hit at the back of your throat when inhaling. In many ways, it is very similar to the sensation that you experience when smoking a cigarette.
If you are looking to replicate that throat hit, you need an e-liquid with plenty of propylene glycol. We suggest either 50PG/50VG or for an even stronger throat hit try the 40VG/60PG range of juice.
With both high PG and maximum strength of nicotine e-liquid it’s best to use vape hardware that is designed for mouth-to-lung vaping.
Vape Juice for a Smooth Throat Hit
For this, you will have 2 choices of vaping juice.
1. Use nicotine salts. Nicotine salts are relatively new in the vaping industry.
They were originally introduced because vapers found the nicotine hit with very high nicotine strength e-liquids (legal in the US, but not available in the UK) was too harsh on the throat.
Nicotine salts, that uses the natural form of nicotine found in tobacco leaves, creates a much smoother throat hit.
2. Second way to achieve a smooth throat hit is to use a higher VG e-liquid. However, high VG e-liquids are best used with more advanced vape kits.

Vape Dinner Lady (Best UK E-Liquid Brand)
Voro Vape Premium E Liquid (Editors Choice)

Propylene Glycol is a thinner liquid (Than VG) and carries flavour well. is essentially a synthetic liquid additive which is used in food, drink and cosmetic products.
What Is Vegetable Glycerin (VG) In E Cigarettes?
Vegetable Glycerin is a natural liquid made from vegetable oil. It has a thicker consistency than PG as well as a slightly sweeter flavour.
What Does High VG Mean?
VG is short for Vegetable Glycerol. The majority of e-juice has a mix ratio of PG/VG. High VG ejuices use a larger percentage of VG, most used are 70%, 80% or 90%. There are also 100% VG e-liquids available for those that are allergic to PG. Higher VG E Liquids are best used in sub ohm tanks (cloud chasers) and not mouth to lung vape tanks that are found on pen type e cigs and entry-level vape pens.
What Is the best flavour for vaping?
Everybody has different tastes so e-juice flavour recommendations are subjective. What we can do, however, is guide you in the direction of some premium quality e liquids brands that do things right and take measures to ensure their e-juice is made to high standards.
Is E-Liquid Safe?
We believe the right question to ask is this – ''Is E-Liquid safer than a normal cigarette?'' With just 4-5 ingredients in e-liquids compared to over 5000 chemicals found in tobacco smoke, the answer to our question is yes, in fact, 95% safer according to The Royal College of Physicians. But.. is it completely safe? Nobody can say it's 100% safe. More tests are conducted every month by universities and specialists to determine this aspect.
What Is In E-Liquid
E-Liquid generally contains Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), flavourings and nicotine. The nicotine is optional of course. You can read more about PG and VG here.
Is There Nicotine In E liquid?
The choice is yours. You can choose a variety of nicotine content levels such as 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg. Or you can choose an e-liquid that has zero nicotine.
What is USP/EP Grade Propylene Glycol?
USP stands for United States Pharmacopeia and EP stands for European Pharmacopoeia. When referred to PG this means that the vaping liquid uses a pharmaceutical-grade PG that has a purity greater than 99.8%. These particular grades are tested for compliance.
What Makes E Juice Thick?
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is the main ingredient that makes for a thicker e juice. It is more viscous than PG. So the higher the VG the thicker the e liquid tends to be.
Is it PG or VG Responsible for Thick Big Clouds of Vapour?
Higher VG ejuice will provide you with thicker, dense clouds. Higher VG e-liquids are best paired with sub-ohm vape tanks and more advanced vape mods.
What Chemicals are in Vape e-liquid?
-Vegetable Glycerin – also used in food, medications and cosmetic products -Propylene Glycol – also used in asthma inhalers, food items and medication -Nicotine (Optional) -Flavours
What Is Meant By Throat Hit?
The throat hit is a term used to explain the sensation you get when vaping. Generally the kind of feeling you would get when smoking a cigarette that you can feel at the back of the throat.
What is the Best E Liquid Mix Ratio?
This will depend a lot on what kind of tank/coil you are vaping with. As a general rule of thumb (although this will differ depending on tank device) these are the recommended PG/VG ratios to use. -1.5 Ohm- 2.0 Ohm – 60PG/40VG, 50PG/50VG and 40PG/60VG (Higher VG vape liquids are thicker and maybe difficult wicking in smaller, higher resistance coils) -Sub Ohm vape coils (0.5 Ohm and below) – 40PG/60VG, 30PG/70VG, 20PG/80VG, 10PG/90VG (You should check with the manufacturer if your specific coil can be used (wicks) high VG juices well)
How Do You Store E Liquid?
Best practices for storing your e-liquid: -Keep bottles out of direct sunlight and avoid big temperature changes -Store in a cupboard, draw or even a shoebox -Some vapers advise keeping in a fridge to extend life but this is not something I've tried
How Long Can You Keep E-Liquid?
E-Liquids have a pretty long shelf life and there isn't an official expiration time limit. Most manufacturers will have a 1-year shelf life if you store your juice correctly, away from direct sunlight in a cupboard or draw. Refrigeration is also said to help.
How Long Does 50ml of E Juice Last?
Well, depends on your vaping habits. If you are vaping with a sub-ohm coil/tank at a higher wattage, as 75W, then your e-liquid will last considerably less time than if you were using a mouth to lung tank such as the Aspire Nautilus 2 at 15-18W. The average vaper goes through around 2-5 ml of e-juice per day using a MTL tank. Using a tank or RDA such as the Wotofo Profile V could see you using as much as 10-20ml per day.
What Is Zero Nicotine E Juice?
Zero nicotine e-liquid contains no nicotine. It will consist only of the other ingredients that make up e-liquid – PG, VG and flavourings.
Can you legally import eliquid outside the UK/EU?
The TPD in the EU has put restrictions on vape juices that are sold in the EU and this means that some countries allow cross-border sales and others don’t. The UK does permit cross-border selling. The maximum size for a bottle of juice, is limited by the TPD to 10ml and the maximum nicotine strength is limited to 20mg/ml, but you can still buy e-liquids from out of the EU to use yourself and those regulations won’t apply. Although a business technically has to be MHRA registered to permit cross-border UK sales, the rule enforcement is lax. It’s unlikely that you’ll be stopped by customs if you import vape liquids from overseas, so in theory, you should have no issues if you’re importing e-liquid from the US for personal use (but be aware that you may end up having to pay a customs fee).
